YVSC Summer Internship

YVSC is accepting applications for their summer internship (May 20 - August 9)! The 12-week program brings interns into collaboration with YVSC staff and engages them in our programs addressing sustainability issues in the Yampa Valley, while providing them with training and on-the-ground experience in nonprofit work. Using a project-based approach, participants apply what they learn through the internship to contribute to, expand on or develop a meaningful environmental project within our community. 

Positions are paid 15-20 hours per week of in-person work on their individual projects, attending meetings and events, and engaging in the organization. 

Minimum Requirements:

-High school or college level student or recent graduate

-Eagerness to learn and work on an independently-led project

-Interest in career in sustainability field

-Reliable transportation

-Reliable access to a computer/laptop

-Housing in the Steamboat area and ability to work in-person 15-20 hours per week
