Student Nurse Summer Internship

Responsibilities

The Student Nurse Summer Intern provides direct patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff and is a supportive participant in the patient care team.

Completion of junior year in a Bachelor in Nursing program required. Enrollment in MN summer internship credit required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and must not expire during internship.

Application Deadline is December 28, 2023. Internship is June 3, 2024 through August 9, 2024. No interviews will be conducted, offers will go out starting the week of February 5th.  Letters of recommendation are not suggested and will not be considered in the application process.

       1.Provide an example of how you’ve demonstrated empathic and compassionate care in a healthcare environment.
       2. Describe your personal values and how they relate to Mayo Clinic Health Systems primary value?
       3. What are your professional goals within 3-5years and how do you plan to accomplish them?
4. NURSING INTEREST AREAS are required. Create a word document numbered 1-14, using the below list of department options and place each area next to your preference number.
