Outreach Professional III - AAP Coordinators

Summary of Job Duties:
This position will serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned geographic area to process initial and renewal application for the autism waiver program. This will include assisting families and provider agencies, collecting and reporting data, and completing administrative functions as needed. It will also involve participating in conferences, awareness activities, and training events as a representative of UA-Partners.
This position is located in Northeast Arkansas.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education or related field
At least two years experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders
Preferred Qualifications:
A more advanced degree in psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education or related field
At least two years of experience with Medicaid services in Arkansas
At least two years of experience doing home visits with families in Arkansas, including rural areas
Reside within 50 miles of Jonesboro, Arkansas, or be willing to relocate
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Skill in interacting with families from varied backgrounds and socioeconomic status;
Skill is utilizing Microsoft Office applications;
Skill in navigating the state system of services for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
Salary Information:
Commensurate with education and experience.
