Speech/Language Therapist

Position Title: Speech/Language Therapist
Position Status: Full-time, tenure track
Reports to: Danielle Czech, Director, Pupil Personnel Services

Salary: Per CDTA contract

 

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with educational disabilities, implementing individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, cognitive-communication, and social communication needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, collaborating with teachers and parents, maintaining detailed records, and participating in Committee on Special Education meetings.

    parents, teachers, and other school staff to create and implement successful treatment plans.
  • Patience and Empathy: Demonstrates understanding and patience, providing a
    supportive and encouraging environment for students to progress at their own pace.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Works well in a team, engaging with educational staff,
    participating in multidisciplinary meetings, and contributing to a cohesive approach to student development.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
 Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
 New York State Licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist
 Experience working with children at a variety of grade levels (preferred)
 Experience in working with AAC devices preferred, but not required.
