Summary

In this role you will be responsible for the production and development of video content for all Pistons properties. Non-game night duties include all facets of video production for use in arena, on broadcast and online.
As the Producer/Editor you will be an active member of the Pistons in-house video production team. This team is responsible for the production and execution of all Pistons programming including Detroit Pistons home games, digital/social content, TV & radio and Detroit Pistons auxiliary programming.

What you’ll be doing :
Produce, shoot and edit engaging content for distribution across digital, in-arena and social platforms
Collaborate with content, social and graphics teams to bring storytelling ideas to life
Conduct interviews that help build compelling storylines
Capture behind the scenes footage of games practices and team events.
Supporting cross-functional departments inclusive of community, partnerships, fan engagement, ticket sales and affiliate teams (i.e. MCC)
Take high impact photos at games and off court events.
Help support media asset management by tagging, sorting and archiving footage
Create content under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality visual consistency
Lead video shoots including multi-cam directing/producing
Other responsibilities as assigned
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Broadcast Production, Communication, Film/Digital Media or related field
3-5 years of related experience, preferably in sports or Entertainment
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Photo Mechanic and Lightroom
Strong Storytelling instincts and understanding of pacing, tone and emotional impact.
Experience shooting with Professional cinema cameras (canon C series, Sony FS)
Experience with live broadcast or video production company is a plus.
The ability to work under stringent deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with basketball culture, the NBA landscape and its fanbase
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and travel as needed.
Ability to lift, carry and transport equipment weighing up to 50lbs
